Team Instructional Coaching
How do we dive deeply into our unit design and lesson planning in order to seamlessly incorporate research based strategies for multilingual students? I offer onsite coaching for cohorts ; grade level/content area professionals, EAL specialists, instructional coaches, and curriculum teams, and leadership teams. This can include fostering co-teaching protocols, analyzing assessments and student work, or guiding professionals in their unit and lesson planning. Zoom sessions are available.
English Language Learner Program Audits
How do schools respond to changing demographics in order to ensure multilingual student success? I offer English Language Learner program audits that uses a "story" finding, qualitative approach mixed with analysis of school data. Together with your leadership teams and teacher leaders, we can collectively examine the data, so that I can design an MLL Equity action plan that meets your school's needs.
Curriculum Design for Schools
How do international schools' units of instruction inspire critical thinking and develop academic language? I offer curriculum and/or course design that ensures a high degree of academic rigor aligned to standards while simultaneously nurturing the multilingual student's addittional language acquisition process. My curriculum experience includes (but it is not limited to): K-12 units, performance based assessments, project-based learning, units of inquiry, workshop models, standards based planning and assessment, ATLAS Rubicon, co-teaching and AP courses. I can work with your school's curricular leaders in order to design curriculum and then strengthen your teacher's own curricular self-efficacy.
