It can be lonely being a human-centered educator, who believes in the beauty of their students, their communities, and that a better, more liberatory world is possible. How do you stand in your core values and center the humanity of our students and ourselves, in a school system that often doesn’t? This 3 hour creative retreat is designed to explore our core values as educators, unearth some trauma and pain points of being an educator during troubling times, and create inroads to walking in our truths this school year. Participants will have opportunities to explore these themes through sharing, journaling, and artmaking.
